About UK Pothole Pilot
A free, light-hearted arcade game about something every driver in Britain knows far too well: the pothole.
UK Pothole Pilot started from a simple idea. Potholes are one of the most talked-about annoyances on British roads, from the school run to the motorway slip road, so why not turn dodging them into a game? The result is a quick, one-button driving challenge you can pick up in seconds and keep coming back to for "just one more go".
What makes it different
- Every corner of the UK. Your mission is to clear all 113 counties and council areas across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in a single run. Easy to start, very hard to finish.
- One-touch controls. Hold to steer up, let go to drift down. Easy to learn, hard to master.
- Plays anywhere. It runs straight in your web browser on phones, tablets and computers. There's nothing to download or install and no account to create.
- Built to be light. The whole game is a single small file, so it loads fast even on a patchy mobile signal.
Who makes it
UK Pothole Pilot is an independent project based in the UK. It isn't connected with any council, government department or motoring organisation. It's a game, and its potholes, crash messages and speed limits are played for laughs.
If you do want to report a real pothole, you can do that on the GOV.UK report a pothole service, which forwards it to the right local council.
Keeping it free
The game is free to play. To cover hosting and development, the site shows adverts provided by Google AdSense. You can read how that works, and what choices you have, in our privacy policy.
